Beacon Gives Women & Children Fresh Starts

Fresh Starts Initiative

Fresh Starts

Many of the families moving out from shelters are re-starting their lives with next to nothing. They have work, hope, and each other, but lack the resources to provide any of the basic living essentials needed after they are handed the keys to an apartment.

Young women living in shelters present with unique needs. Impacting their situation, as these women emerge into young adulthood and give birth, the demands of parenthood derail their own development. Beacon is committed to helping break the cycle of homelessness for families and to giving them a fresh start. It is clear they need a helping hand.

Fresh Starts

Beacon has developed two Fresh Start Kits – small gifts that help the homeless go a long way.

If you would like to purchase a Fresh Starts Kit (a gift basket filled with all the essentials!), to help a homeless family as they move from a shelter into their new apartment. (Please fill in FRESH STARTS in the "Designation" box on the donation form.) Click here to purchase a kit.
