Our Services & Programs
Most children learn how to live, play, socialize and adapt with little effort. But when it comes to feeling safe, happy and successful, they need help. Beacon programs and services promote opportunities for children and adolescents to experience success, build self-esteem and cope with the challenges of their everyday lives—giving them the tools they need to realize a better tomorrow.
Beacon Programs and Services
Beacon’s programs deliver a continuum of services to children, teens and families throughout metropolitan Chicago. Prevention, early intervention, assessment and treatment are integral components of our services and programs, allowing us to make a meaningful impact in the lives of the children and families we serve.
Beacon programs currently include services in several key areas, including:
- Therapeutic Day Schools – Through Beacon therapeutic day schools, Chicago children have the opportunity to continue their elementary and junior/senior high school education, regardless of the challenges their families are facing.
- Homeless Outreach Services – Our homeless outreach services provide a safe and supportive environment for families struggling to get back on their feet.
- Clinical Outpatient Programs – Beacon clinical outpatient programs offer mental health services in Chicago and provide an integrated service that meets the needs of our city’s most vulnerable residents.
Beacon’s programs and services are staffed by teams of caring and tenacious individuals who are committing to making Beacon a center of excellence. Team members include child psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, social workers, certified counselors, early childhood teachers, family advocates, case managers, nurses, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, early childhood specialists, vocational trainers and recreational therapists.
