Mental Health Community Services
As a certified Medicaid Community Mental Health services provider, Beacon provides Mental Health Community services to Chicago area children who do not require a full-day or extended mental health program.
More About Beacon’s Mental Health Community Services
Beacon’s Mental Health Community services provide community mental health treatment to vulnerable children, empowering them to attend their neighborhood schools and participate in the mainstream of society. For some students, our mental health community services are an alternative to specialized school placement. For others, Beacon provides evaluations, support and services that maintain or improve their ability to function in their home and school.
Beacon’s short-term crisis intervention helps some children cope with trauma and return to their daily routines, while others require months or even years of treatment to overcome their challenges and achieve their full potential.
Our Mental Health Community services include:
- Individual and family therapy
- Psychiatric evaluation
- Psychological testing
- Case management
