Workshops & Training Opportunities
Beacon’s training workshops are available for families, teachers, clinicians, organizations and other community members who deal with at-risk children, adolescents, teens and their families. From workshops for emotional development in children to training for mental health services, we offer a variety of programs that provide the skills and knowledge necessary to meet behavioral, developmental and educational needs. Our cross training programs cover topics and issues ranging from:
- Systems related to childhood education and development, including homelessness, child welfare, early intervention, child care and educational opportunities such as our Early Head Start program
- Harm reduction with families
- Child social and emotional development, including trauma, developmental disabilities and sensory integration
- Reflective supervision
- Motivational interviewing
Our comprehensive training programs and workshops are licensed and accredited by the Joint Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS), the North Central Association and the Illinois State Board of Education.
