Many Beacon students live in such deprivation that one student requested lunch meat for Christmas. During nap time, new children often hide food under their cots because they are afraid they will receive no more food that day. Gifts of time and talents to Beacon show underpriviledged children that in this land of plenty, there is something special for them.
Beacon would not be where it is today without community support. From corporate sponsorships and foundation and government grants to local businesses and individuals giving their time and attention.
